Sampdoria wore the shirt throughout their 1999 season in Serie A. A season which saw the Italian team finishing 16th and relegated under manager Luciano Spalletti. A season which also saw David Platt manage the club. Vincenzo Montella finished the clubs top goalscorer with 13 in all competitions.
